The healthcare marketplace is the economic system through which different healthcare insurance companies compete with each other to sell their products. Many important benefits of health insurance are provided in the marketplace. Plans that are available offer free preventive care such as vaccines, screenings, and check-ups.
Next Open Enrollment:
The Open Enrollment Period for 2017 is November 1, 2016 — January 31, 2017. During this open enrollment period individuals that qualify can sign up for insurance made available through the Affordable Care Act.
You can still buy a Marketplace health plan if you qualify for a special enrollment period such as the loss of your current insurance. One of MPHC’s enrollment specialists can help you determine if you qualify for insurance under the Affordable Care Act or help you determine if you qualify to apply under for special enrollment.
You can apply for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) at any time.
