For three consecutive years Mountain People’s Health has been recognized in the top 1-2% of all health centers in the United States as a National Quality Leader in terms of quality patient outcomes for heart health.

We were also recognized in the top 10% for all quality measures as a Gold Health Center Quality Leader for the third consecutive year, again demonstrating the high level of quality outcomes our patients experience!

Nationwide, health centers like Mountain People combined to treat over thirty million (30,000,000) patients last year.  Recognition as both a National Quality Leader and a Gold Health Center Quality Leader is an amazing accomplishment, let alone doing it three years in a row!  Mountain People’s is the only health center in the state of Tennessee to be awarded the National Quality Leader award in 2021 and we are the only three time winner of the award in the state’s history.

This year we were also recognized by HRSA for reducing health disparities that impact the patients we serve and for expanding access to patients in need. In addition, MPHC was recognized for being in the top 20 health centers out of nearly 1,400 health centers nationwide for its exceptional performance in achieving colorectal and cervical cancer screenings, diabetes control, hypertension control, reducing rates of obesity in its patient base, and for our work in treating patients suffering from depression.
