NHSC Students to Service Loan Repayment Program
Imagine starting your medical career with the confidence that a significant portion of your student loan debt could be paid off.
The National Health Service Corps Students to Service Loan Repayment Program offers eligible students in their final year of medical school up to $120,000 toward qualifying educational loans.
In exchange, participants commit to three years of service at an eligible NHSC-approved site in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area of greatest need.

NHSC Loan Repayment Program for Practicing Physicians
Your opportunity for student loan repayment assistance doesn’t end at graduation.
The NHSC Loan Repayment Program offers eligible licensed primary care physicians up to $75,000 toward qualifying educational loans in exchange for an initial two-year, full-time service commitment at an eligible approved site in a qualifying high-need area.
Eligible physician specialties include Family Medicine, General Internal Medicine, General Pediatrics and Geriatrics.
Additional loan repayment may be available through continuation contracts after completing the initial service commitment.
