Myrtle Recovery Centers, located on the campus of Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee, provides high-quality, compassionate treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Since opening in 2023, Myrtle has welcomed hundreds of patients—including many from Scott County—providing thousands of days of care. With support from organizations like Recovery Courts, Ridgeview, and Mountain People’s Health Council, Myrtle helps restore hope, reunite families, and strengthen the community. The center has also created local jobs and expanded access to treatment in a rural area where options were once scarce. We offer:
- Detox Services in a safe, medically supervised environment.
- Residential Treatment in a supportive, structured setting.
- Comprehensive Care addressing both substance use and co-occurring mental health needs.
- Individualized Treatment Plans tailored to each patient’s recovery journey.

The purpose of the Scott County Family Justice Center is to protect and empower victims and survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, stalking, human trafficking and elder abuse. We provide a secure physical site that has co-located, expert services that promote a future of safety, self-reliance, and opportunity for victims of family violence. We can help file Orders of Protection, connect you with an advocate from the Scott County Shelter Society or SAI’s Sexual Assault Program to create a safety plan, assess your level of risk, and connect you with other resources from our partner agencies.

The Children’s Center of the Cumberlands provides an array of services for children who are victims of severe abuse/neglect and their nonoffending family members. We offer therapy services as well as victim service coordination, in house SANE exams, and forensic interviews. We also offer prevention education to the local community, as well as in both the city and county schools at all grade levels.

Scott County Shelter Society is an emergency safe shelter for victims of domestic violence. We provide emergency, temporary housing for victims (male and female) and their children. Our services include, but are not limited to food, clothing, safety planning, court accompaniment, etc. We do have an outreach office open Mon-Fri where anyone looking for resources can speak with an advocate as well. Scott Appalachian Industries provides services for persons with a disability, persons age 60 or older, and victims of sexual assault. Disability services include transportation, community integration, meals, community living supports, personal assistance, employment services, skilled nursing care, coordination with local school systems, Family Support Program, and others. Services for 60+ include OPTIONS for Community Living, National Family Caregivers, and CHOICES programs, as well as a senior center. Sexual assault care includes advocacy, accompaniment, forensic exam by a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, and 24/7 helpline: (423) 539-6499. Other services include home access/ramp referral, representative payee, and summer youth feeding program.

This includes home health care with skilled clinicians, private duty care for daily assistance, and hospice care for pain management and support. Additionally, they provide home medical equipment through Buckeye Home Medical and offer a specialized Access Program for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
